Hi! You can call me Daro, I used to go by Matty on LC but have since changed it. I have been a regular on LC for about 6 months now (not registered the whole time but still part of the community). The reason I want to be a mod is because I care a lot about this community. The people that I have the pleasure of chatting with on a daily basis is a delight, something i’m genuinely looking forward to doing when I’m at work IRL or on a train ride with no internet. I’ve added a lot of them on Discord and would call them my actual friends, not just people behind a screen.
Thats the type of community I’d like to cultivate here at LC. I want people to have a safe internet haven to meet new friends, explore their sexuality, and have a good time doing it. I want people to log in every day and hope for a message from their buddies, play with strangers and companions alike, and have them care about the community as well. I think that sums up my feelings about LC in general, let me discuss how I would act.
In setting a proper example to newcomers and regulars alike, I feel like I can help achieve what I described as the ideal community. By acting swift with warnings and kicks, answering questions as best as possible, and chatting in a civilized and friendly manor in #lewd, I believe the rest of the community will recognize how important the rules and standards are, and will follow suit, calling out any misbehavior themselves and helping self-police chat rooms.
